Money Matters Classes

From the President & CEO

If you're looking to support small businesses this holiday season, you're in luck!  The YouthBiz Marketplace features more than 30 young entrepreneurs selling their hand-crafted products.

Here are a few of my favorite gift ideas:
  • Freeze-dried snacks from Mile High Freeze Dry, created by 14-year-old Reina Crowley
  • Miniature stuffed animals from Mimi's Minis, created by 10-year-old Amelia Moore--this is her first Marketplace!
  • Ornaments from Ellis' Christmas Ornaments, created by 6-year-old Ellis (he's saving up to buy a lego set!)

I hope that you'll take a few minutes to show your support for these talented and hard-working entrepreneurs by shopping at YouthBiz Marketplace.

A Dream Job at Young Americans Bank

For Loan Officer Natasha Rea, working at Young Americans Bank is her dream job!  Natasha started as a Financial Services Representative, working on day-to-day transactions with customers, and worked her way up to first becoming a Branch Supervisor and now a Loan Officer.

Read her story on our blog, including her first memories of being a Young Americans Bank customer.

Concept of the Month: Debit vs Credit

These two words sound similar, debit and credit, but in fact they are very different.  This month, Young Americans Bank introduces these two concepts to help youth understand what they are and how they are used in managing money.

Learn more and take the Debit vs. Credit Quiz on our blog.
