Hi <<First Name>>,

Welcome to the final month of 2020 - a year that will certainly go down in history! As we all prepare for the Christmas period, many of us are looking forward to summer and the opportunity to relax in some sunshine.

While we wait for summer to completely arrive, read on to find out more about:

  • The latest advice to business owners about keeping themselves, their team members and their customers safe
  • Council's new Economic Development Strategy and Independent Economic Development Kotahitanga Board
  • Support for tourism businesses through the Qualmark accreditation scheme
  • The Kāpiti Food Fair 2020 which attracts more than 20,000 attendees all celebrating local products and produce.
As we rapidly head into the Christmas and New Year period there is widespread concern about the steady downward trend in the number of people using the COVID tracer app. With the expected increase in the number of people travelling and congregating with family, friends and other shoppers it is even more important now to keep everyone safe. Here's a reminder of the basic guidelines:
Stay home if you’re sick
If you or your team members have cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, stay home and call your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice about getting tested.

By getting a test, you’re helping keep your community safe. Testing is always free for everyone.
Use the NZ COVID Tracer App
All workplaces and businesses legally must display an NZ COVID Tracer QR code for each location. This applies at all Alert Levels.  Get your QR code.

Encourage anyone who comes to your site to use the app and make sure that you personally use the Tracer app everywhere you go. The NZ COVID Tracer app keeps us 1 step ahead of the virus — the more we all scan the safer we’ll all be.
Maintain good hygiene
Keep up good hand washing practices, using soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and drying thoroughly. Cough and sneeze into your elbow. Keep surfaces clean.
