Thanksgiving Message From Your PTSA Board

Though Thanksgiving week looks a lot different this year, we at the EMS PTSA realize that we have a lot to be grateful for:  We are thankful for an awesome team of Board Members, Chairs and Parent Volunteers who continue to bring their passion and creativity to provide the opportunities for our students and school in this challenging year. We are also grateful for our collaborative partnership with the school and the resilience of our wonderful Principal, Teachers and Students as they adapt and navigate through these unprecedented times.
All this would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of our wonderful volunteers. Your time, effort, patience and creativity are priceless. Most importantly, the EMS PTSA thanks the school for affording us the opportunity to be so integrally involved in enriching the curriculum and fostering the well-being of our children.

Kahoot Night Winners

Thank you to all those who participated and made our first FACE Event a success!  We plan to organize more such events in future to entertain and engage with you.

Staff Appreciation

What better time to show we care than now! With Thanksgiving just around the corner, here's our little effort to show love and appreciation for our precious teachers and members of staff: The Staff Appreciation Committee got some goodies for the Staff Lounge at the school.

And here's another way you can show your gratitude...

Every year, we used to host a Thanksgiving lunch with your help for our teachers and members of staff. But Covid-19 has forced us all to show our love and appreciation from a distance. Here's your chance to show you care: Sponsor a Teacher/Staff today
Thank you to everyone who has already sponsored a teacher or a staff member this year. We are grateful!

Urgent! We need Nominating Committee Members

  • Nominating Committee: Dear Parents, we urge you to step forward and take up Nominating Commitee positions, since our deadline is approaching. PTSA can be no more effective than its leadership. The Nominating Committee is a special committee that holds the key to a successful PTSA! The PTSA’s future is determined by the leadership qualities and people skills of the individuals selected by the Nominating Committee. More details here.

Parent Education: Recognizing Mental Health Symptoms

We all worry about our children's mental health, especially when we hear about an 'anxiety epidemic'. But when are our kids just being kids? When should we be concerned and seek help? Dr. Mezulis, a clinical psychologist with years of experience in the field of adolescence mental health, will answer these questions and more. Dr. Mezulis is a licensed clinical psychologist, a professor and chair in the department of Clinical Psychology at SPU and the co-founder and chief psychologist at UpLift.
