FOSTERING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS
As the agency pivoted to a new way of doing business, we were busy creating and delivering new content for virtual trauma-informed coping and co-dependency workshops for our Recovery Home Residents and for women who have experienced abuse. Knowing you are not alone can make all the difference for survivors and those in recovery. The feedback from group members has brought tears to our eyes and reminded us of the power of connection despite physical distance.

TAMING THE DRAGON has a new look this year. Originally the program provided tools and support for children dealing with anxiety, usually 4-6 children in an elementary school environment. This year we have gone virtual – now the program is available for a classroom of students. We will be in two classrooms at each of 38 schools across Waterloo Region this year. The uncertainty of the past months has caused anxiety in more children (and adults) than pre-COVID days. Now more children will be introduced to tools for dealing with that anxiety. We were able to take the program virtual because of the continued support of the Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation.
If you are interested in helping to support the program this holiday season, a donation of $25 would provide program materials for a class of 20 students. Lots of dragons to tame this year! https://fcccnd.com/donate/
