Weekly Summary as at: 26 November 2020
Hi <<First Name>>

National hydro storage decreased 4 percentage points from 112% to 108% of average reflecting South Island hydro storage falling from 110% to 106% on the back of lowered South Island inflows over the last week.

North Island storage has decreased slightly from 121% to 119% of average. Inflows have returned to below average levels following a recent significant inflow event. This still represents an improvement on September storage levels. See more on this here.

Looking ahead, the forecast is promising, with rain falling currently and forecast across several catchment areas over the next 7 days.

A series of outages are planned at Pohukura, New Zealand’s largest gas field to early December. These come off the back of a medium term trend of production declines at the field.

National demand increased this week, reaching 750GWh on the 24th of November.

Renewable generation made up 87% of the generation mix over the last week.
