I forgot today was Black Friday

The day before Thanksgiving I set up a Black Friday e-book giveaway on Amazon and forgot all about it. Why? Because for the second day in a row it has NOT been raining all day long so I left my house to do outside work on a remodeling project for the small business I own with my husband. It really was great to simply be outside on a 48 degree day with some sun shafts!

Thankfully, the giveway lasts until Tuesday, so I can still offer you some free poetry. Even if you already have the books, you can send a free copy to friends and family. They don't have to have a Kindle device. They can read it on free Kindle apps on phones, tablets, and computers.

Happy Reading, and wishing you moments where you forget what day it is for all the right reasons!

Cathy Warner's Home By Another Road takes us down the highway of reflection and, whether she is the driver or the passenger, it's a journey that asks all the big questions: Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we going? What is home? Warner uses every map available to answer these questions and we are fortunate to have an honest narrator at the wheel. While navigating the complicated territory of family, faith, forgiveness, regret, and redemption, she clearly understands we all must pay the toll for the right of passage we call life. Warner has the rare insight to acknowledge all the sadness and grief buckled up beside her while never forgetting to look in the rear view mirror where joy sits patiently in the back seat, waiting for her to take up her pen.

VIRAL VERSE: POETRY OF THE PANDEMIC is a vibrant anthology of 70 poems contributed by 24 U.S. poets. The outgrowth of a virtual community writing on daily prompts while sheltering at home during March and April 2020, Viral Verse is an exploration of, and antidote to, the daily news cycle. These 24 writers brilliantly convey the beauty and terror of human experience in the world we inhabit as they speak to this particular moment—social distancing, flattening the curve, Zoom—and beyond. In these pages they carve out space for worry and welcome, pain and possibility, humor and hope, fear and faith, nature and nurture, yearning and you. Join them.
