Most BDS Permit Fees Increasing Dec. 1; Submit Complete Plans by Nov. 30 to Avoid Increases

Many fees charged by the Bureau of Development Services will increase on Dec. 1. Customers who wish to submit a building permit application before the fee increases take effect need to upload their complete plans by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30. All customers who have uploaded their complete plans by this time will be vested in the current fee schedule. Permit applications submitted on or before Nov. 30 with incomplete plans as of Dec. 1 will be subject to the new fee schedule effective Dec. 1.

Customers who have requested an appointment to upload a building permit application as of December 1, 2020 can expect to receive an email from BDS Permitting Services with a link to upload plans (using HCP Anywhere).  This email will be sent prior to the scheduled appointment time.

In order for the project to be vested in the current fee schedule, all plans and documents must meet submittal requirements.

We are working to make it possible for customers to submit building applications online any time, with no appointment required. We appreciate your flexibility during our software transition! Between December 1 and 11, 2020, customers can request to schedule a future appointment to submit an application via this webform.

As of December 14, 2020, customers will be able to submit building permit applications via DevHub 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with no appointment required. We kindly request that customers who wish to submit a building permit application choose only one of these options. Requesting a link to upload plans and submitting plans via DevHub could create unnecessary delays in the processing of your application.
