Dear Friends,
It’s been a hard few months…in fact it’s been a hard several years! And yet we’re excited by Faith in Action Bay Area’s recent victories in San Mateo and San Francisco Counties. Working together, we’ve won new protections for our families and organized successfully to address the challenges of housing, unemployment, and racism that threaten our communities in the time of COVID.
Faith in Action Bay Area remains committed to developing the capacity of our leaders so that they can keep building relationships and the community power required to change things. We are a multi-racial, multi-language, cross-class and intergenerational organization of people of faith who work together to make a difference, from the ground up, in our communities. Our task, as always, is to listen deeply to one another and speak out together for justice—and to organize our neighborhoods, our school and our congregations for change.
We’re going to keep meeting every two weeks to share our stories, develop our skills as leaders and organizers, and develop plans for action across San Mateo and San Francisco counties. Whether you’re a long-time member or someone new to this work, we want YOUR voice to be part of this process.
