This is a time for students and families to express their appreciation for all the wonderful work that our Emerson staff has being doing to support continuous learning in a very distant world. You are encouraged to deck out your cars with posters and/or decorations of your most creative parade dreams!
For those who choose to bike or walk with strollers, please be mindful that we must still maintain a social distance of 6ft apart.
*Please maintain a safe speed of 5mph while participating in the parade.

The School Site Council (SSC) is a group of teachers, staff, parents and our principal. We collectively discuss goals as a community and decide how our school budget is spent. No previous experience or expertise, and no ongoing time commitment, is required to participate. Just drop in and say hi. Get your questions answered.

While different from years past, 2021 will be bigger and better because that’s what this time demands. We're also doubling down on our commitment -- we are all in when it comes to making sure all kids get what they need when it comes to education.
So, we have decided to forge full speed ahead with a virtual event and will welcome runners and walkers to join our family of cyclists in 2021! That's right -- we are running, walking AND riding for a reason!
We've designed an inclusive virtual event that will engage more participants in raising funds and awareness around the needs of our public schools. Not to mention, we have lined up some pretty fun and quality fundraising incentives!

Emerson Play Yard Construction - Fall 2020
Greetings neighbors and school community of Emerson Elementary,
I am happy to announce that we are in the last stages of the project. The construction team will be putting in the finishing touches on the softball field in the next few weeks. Some of the work that will continue in the last weeks of the project includes the installation of the playmat surface. The construction team will also start removing some grass and patching asphalt in the areas where existing asphalt was removed during construction, you can anticipate the normal construction noise. Lastly, after the overlay is installed, the team will start stripping the basketball courts and installing the basketball poles/hoops.
Also, please be mindful that this is still an active construction site and we are still under shelter in place restrictions. Currently, access to the grass, blacktop, play structures, and the field is restricted at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
