REMINDER
All access from Paisano Drive to Bridge of the Americas  permanently removed on Friday 

EL PASO, Texas — All access from US 62 (Paisano Drive) to the Bridge of the Americas is scheduled to be permanently removed before dawn on Friday, November 20.
 
When the I-10 Connect Project is complete all traffic bound from I-10 to Juárez via the Spaghetti Bowl will utilize new ramps directly connecting them to the Bridge of the Americas. Until those direct connector ramps are complete, all traffic bound from I-10 to BOTA will follow the “JUAREZ, MEXICO” detour signs on US 54 via the Pershing Drive Turnaround.
 
Paisano Drive remains closed to thru traffic between San Marcial Street and Gateway South. This week, crews began demolishing the overpasses which for five decades carried Paisano over Interstate 110 immediately north of the bridge. The overpass will be reconstructed at ground level as part of a reconfiguration of the Paisano Drive/I-110 interchange.

About the I-10 Connect Project

The I-10 Connect project is at the intersection of Interstate 10 and US 54 in El Paso County. The project extends from I-10 to Loop 375 (Cesar Chávez Border Highway) and provides access to the Bridge of the Americas (BOTA) via I-110. The $96 million project includes the construction of four new direct connectors, a full reconstruction of the I-110/US 62 (Paisano Drive) interchange, and removes exit ramps from US 62 to I-110.

I-10 Connect will improve connectivity between I-10 and Loop 375, also providing an alternate route to I-10. It started February 19, 2019, and is expected to be complete in less than three years.

Todo Acceso Desde Paisano al Puente Internacional Américas se Elimina Permanentemente  la Mañana del Viernes

EL PASO, Texas —Todo acceso desde US 62 (Paisano) al Puente Internacional se eliminará permanentemente antes del amanecer el viernes 20 de noviembre.
 
Cuando concluya el Proyecto I-10 Connect, la circulación de tráfico que viaja hacia Cd. Juárez vía el Spaghetti Bowl utilizará los nuevos puentes que llevan directamente al Puente Internacional de las Américas. Hasta que el trabajo en estos puentes concluya, todo el tráfico del I-10 hacia el Puente Internacional de las Américas debe seguir los señalamientos de desvío para “JUAREZ, MEXICO” sobre US 54 vía el retorno de Pershing Drive.
 
Paisano Drive permanece cerrado entre Calle San Marcial Street y Gateway Blvd. Sur. Esta semana, las cuadrillas de construcción comenzaron a demolar los puentes de Paisano Drive que durante cinco décadas atravesaban por encima de I-110 inmediatamente al norte del puente internacional. El puente superior se reconstruirá al nivel de Paisano Drive como parte de una reconfiguración de la intersección Paisano Drive / I-110.
