Notices & Reminders

President Ramaphosa announced five days of national mourning to remember the victims of both COVID-19 and gender-based violence and femicide from 25 - 29 November. The President asked South Africans to wear black armbands or other signs of mourning to signify their respect of the dead during this time.

Rustenburg girls may choose to wear black armbands/wristbands or black facemasks during this time, and we will fly our flags at half mast.

Please look out for the end-of-year programme which will be sent to parents shortly.
Early Closure: Please note that school will close early (12 noon) on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 December.
Bugs' Boutique: Please note that the last trading day is Saturday, 5 December (9:00 – 11:00)

Waltons Back-to-School Stationery & Karri Payment System

You are reminded that the deadline for ordering Waltons Stationery to be collected from school on 7/8 December is 27 November. After this, you can continue to order the stationery, but will need to select Courier Delivery to your home or office at an additional cost. All the information you need, including the 2021 Stationery Requirement lists are available for download from this public Google Drive.

If you have signed up for the Karri payment app and need to be linked to your child’s account, please email info@rghs.org.za with your child’s name and grade, and the email address with which you registered on Karri.

We would like to invite you to join us on a Zoom call on Monday 30 November from 17:00-18:00. We wish to share with you what the Sports Department at Rustenburg has been busy planning for 2021 and beyond. We will also try to answer any questions you may have. Register here for online meeting.

We are proud to be associated with the Ons Plek Fun Run (Rondebosch Common) by way of a current Grade 10 learner, Vivienne Banks. Vivienne is a Scout and is organising this event as part of her Springbok Community Service Fundraising project. Register here for the Fun Run on 28 November.

Erinville Experience

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be part of the Erinville Hostel sisterhood? Rustenburg learners can, from 2021, apply for one term of boarding at Erinville Hostel, in terms 1 to 3.

The Erinville Experience is one way you can feel an even greater sense of belonging; a place where you are able to form lasting friendships with peers and special relationships with caring staff members.

LO Matters

NEW DIMENSIONS School of Design is looking to recruit Grade 9 learners interested in doing an exciting additional subject, Engineering Graphics and Design in 2021. The advantage of this option is that learners can do it online. View the information video here. Online Application Form.

Santa Shoebox Collection for Vuvu's Kitchen

As a school community, we would like to support Vuvu's Kitchen with a Santa Shoebox drive. Vuvu’s Kitchen for the Children currently feeds approximately 150 hungry children per week in the community of KTC in Nyanga. The Saturday project of Vuvu’s Kitchen started in 2016, and they have managed to keep it going for over 4 years due to a few generous donations.

Please drop off your shoeboxes at the Marketing Office. DEADLINE: 30 November.

Please consider donating your old school shoes or trainers to someone in need. Drop your old shoes off when screening in the morning or at Reception.

RGHS has had a long and succesful relationship with OASIS Recycling over many years. Please help support their FOOD PARCEL APPEAL. Click here to read more.
