Just the one recipe for you this week - vegan apple pie. Not that you would guess it's vegan at all if you were not the baker. This pie has crisp shortcrust pastry and a generous lusciously saucy filling. A few more plus points:
 
  • All ingredients are readily available in well-stocked supermarkets (and you'll have heard of all of them)
  • It's dead simple
  • Feeds 8 greedy people or 10 more moderate souls
  • Delicious served warm
