Bright Spot in a Covid World

Jamie, a teacher in Evanston, IL sent me a picture of her leading a Thrive Study with 3 sophomore girls from the tennis team.  She said the girls are very enthusiastic as they ask questions about what it means to know and follow Jesus.  Pray for their hearts to be warmed by God’s Word as He continues to call them to Himself.

Fall Retreat

I have the privilege of serving on the volunteer team leading the student ministry at our church.  Instead of getting away for the fall retreat, we did a local version.  Students had a lot of fun.  We created an opportunity for them to respond to the gospel; to walk boldly in their relationship with Christ and lastly, we challenged them to multiply their faith.  Our theme was By Faith.  We switched from a longer talk format to a shorter video one.  We left plenty of time for small group discussion after each.  We had two guests, one of which doesn’t understand his need for the gospel.  Pray for T !

I wanted to make this feel more like one of our Cru Conferences.  I used a lot of the resources I use with those I coach.  I have included them for your own edification.  Feel free to watch them and use them if that is appropriate.  Let me know what you think!

Prayer Requests:
*Pray for A, a co-worker of
Kristin's.  That God, working through Kristin, would help A through some difficult circumstances and to come to know Christ.
*That God would open up opportunities to hear the gospel through Scott as he coaches some new ministries getting started as well as more established ones.
*Scott is part of a team moving our FastBreak conference from a large in person gathering at a conference center to smaller in person gatherings experiencing the conference virtually.  Pray for wisdom and creativity as short timelines and lots of work seem to direct our process.
*Pray for T as he continues to ask questions about the gospel - that he would respond to Christ soon.

In a season of Giving Thanks, we want to thank you so much for making our job easier (your support) and significantly changing the outcomes (through prayer). Being able to partner with you to impact the lives of teenagers here, across the country, and around the world is incredibly humbling!
