Did you know that 56% of employees would consider leaving their place of work if their employer did not provide proper bereavement support? With people affected by end of life issues and the impact of COVID-19, it is more important than ever for employers to provide safe, healthy working environments where all staff are comfortable to talk about death and can support colleagues who may be experiencing any of these issues.

Hospice UK's Compassionate Employers programme provides employers with the skills and knowledge to support their employees affected by terminal illness, caring and bereavement, including self assessment tools, feedback meetings with experts, recommendations for the business and tailored training workshops.

We're updating our website
Last month, we asked you to help us find out more about how you use the website. We know that people find our information and advice highly useful, but also that they sometimes struggle to find what they need between our different websites. A huge thanks to everyone who filled in our survey.

What happens now?

We're going to be making some changes to our website, and we want you to be the first to know.

As a first step, this means that some of the existing features, such as the forum, and events and stories that over a year old, will be taken off the site.

We know that some of you may have contributed to these sections to share your stories with us. We will be retiring the forum and some of the older events and stories in the coming weeks and if you would like to take copies of your submissions, then please do so.
Any questions? Get in touch

We are still on the lookout for anyone who has had experience of accessing or finding out information about end of life care. Is this you? We need volunteers for for some 45-min interviews about how you use the website. We’d love to know what you think, so if you are interested, please let us know.

Yes, I'm interested!
Spread the word!

It might not be easy to talk about death, but it matters. We are working to create an open culture that talks about death, dying and bereavement. Help us to help others become better informed.
