Happy Thanksgiving!
We wish you and your families a happy Thanksgiving and we hope that you are able to spend time reflecting on all the things that you are grateful for. In addition, we need to remember that Thanksgiving is not the joyous occasion the media portrays it as to our Native American Community. Complete Outstanding Work to Demonstrate Learning
While we definitely want you to spend time safely together as a family next week when there is no school, please provide structure for your student to complete any outstanding work as grades become final in 3 weeks. Now is a great time for students to get caught up on work. You can check the status of grades and assignments at myportal.dpsk12.org where you can access Schoology which gives you a breakdown of every assignment for your student. If you need any assistance with this, reach out to Graciela_Guevara!dpsk12.org.
DPS Remote Learning Announcement - What it means for North
DPS announced that we will be fully remote through the end of this semester. This means that our AN and MI Center programs will move to remote. We will look to bring our Learning Center back online as soon as we determine that it is safe to do so. Some teachers may provide students with in-building support and those teachers will work directly with students and families to coordinate. We have not received any guidance from DPS on what second semester will look like, so assume that it will be a continuation of what is currently taking place.
Gear UP Info Meeting, Zoom meeting& Thursday, Nov. 19 @ 6:00 P.M.
Freshman families, join the GEAR UP pre collegiate advisors in a zoom meeting to learn more about the programs they offer and how students can apply to take advantage of all the resources.
North Future Design Planning

Anuncio de aprendizaje remoto de DPS: lo que significa para North
DPS anunció que estaremos completamente remotos hasta el final de este semestre. Esto significa que nuestros programas de AN y MI Center se moverán a remoto. With the Thanksgiving holiday around the corner, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommendations for staying healthy and still enjoying the holiday. To help prepare, now is a good time to schedule a COVID test for before and after the holiday. If you plan to gather with friends or family, help prevent the spread of COVID-19 by limiting the size of the gathering and testing beforehand. When together, wear masks, keep some distance and wash hands. If you think you have been exposed to COVID and need to access a testing center, click here to schedule an appointment in the Denver Metro Area.

Career and College Corner
We ordered 787 AP tests this year for 482 students. Last year we ordered 600 tests, so there are more students taking AP classes this year! Shout out to all of our teachers who work to prepare students for AP and advanced courses in addition to the teachers who teach those courses!
