I've been paying close attention to the recent increase in COVID cases in our county and to the state's latest restrictions aimed at curbing the spread.  While those restrictions do not apply to Northfield Yarn,  they do indicate the seriousness of the situation, and I've decided after much thought that starting tomorrow (Saturday) we will return to telephone orders and curbside delivery only.  

I realize that this is disappointing news and that some of you will think it's unnecessary.  I hope you'll understand, however, that I made the decision thoughtfully and in a sincere attempt to do choose the best path through a challenging terrain.  Small businesses are as diverse as the people who run them, and as I see it, the Governor's decision to allow retail to remain open gives us each the opportunity to decide what's right for our individual circumstances.  In the case of Northfield Yarn, one of those circumstances is the vulnerability of our customers.  Many of our customers are in the high-risk age bracket, and that was one of the many things I considered in making this decision.

I feel fortunate that I am able to close the doors again, temporarily, knowing that you will stay connected online and continue to support us as you have so consistently since the pandemic started.  We'll still be here for you by telephone, and our online shop gets better every day!
