Give Thanks, Part 2

In my sermon last week, I challenged our church family to write down two things you thank God for every day between November 14 and December 31. That would be 47 days X 2 = 94. Some days write three—and you have a list of 100 things you’re grateful to God for. One young lady in our church family was so inspired she wrote her gratitude list of 100 that afternoon. By 6:38pm that evening, I got a text message with her gratitude list! Wow!
How are you doing with the gratitude challenge? If you have not started, it’s not too late to begin. Let’s end the year full of gratitude toward God. Please try it —make a list of 100 blessings, 100 gifts from God that you’re thankful for. This and the Joy Journey (see below) are two ways to count our blessings as we end this difficult year!

Local Announcements
1. This Sabbath is the MENA Union Special Sabbath program with Pastor Rick McEdward, the Union President speaking on "I Will Go." (See the links for various languages in the announcement above). Our regular Sabbath School classes will meet online at 9:30am. Then the Union’s special online service at 11:00am.
2. Membership Transfer First Readings: Sirwan Shajiei to University Church (UC) from the West Asian Field Church; Rosa Rakotoalivero from UC to Adventist Church Bangui Republic of Central Africa; Ryan and Joe Ann Taer from UC to Victoria Avenue SDA church in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
3. Due to the lockdown in Lebanon, our Sabbath services for next Sabbath, November 28 will be as follows: 9:15am: Church Service will be online only; 10:30am: Sabbath School (online only by Zoom or Google Meet depending on the class). Please worship with us online from your home! Lord-willing we hope to resume in-person services again in December.
4. Let’s pray together at 5:00pm on Monday (outside by the green benches weather-permitting and on Zoom). A link will be sent via email.
