A word of caution - one statistic that has been published this week is the rise of employment tribunal cases, this is inevitable as the number of employees being made redundant continues to increase rapidly. As an employer, it is well worth remembering that employment law is still very much applicable at this time.

Local Authority Grants
Many of the local authorities have now published their online applications for the Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) and Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG). So please use the links below to see if you are eligible.

Eligibility:

Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed Businesses)
- Businesses that are eligible are those that have been mandated to close by the Government and include non-essential retail, leisure, personal care, sports facilities and hospitality businesses
- Based on the rateable value of property
- Grants are between £1,334 & £3,000
- Claimed online via your Local Authority website
Additional Restrictions Grant (Discretionary)
- Local Authorities are developing discretionary grant schemes to help those businesses which, while not legally forced to close, are nonetheless severely impacted by the restrictions put in place to control the spread of the virus.
- May not be dependent on occupying a rateable property
- Claimed online from Local Authority website
