THE COMMUNITY TREE
'Tis the season for gathering around the tree. This year we are inviting Westdene residents to make a decoration for an illuminated tree right here on Westdene Green. Our Community Tree will shine bright, sending out messages to those near and far!

We will reveal the location of the tree and its name suggested by you when registrations close on 25th Nov. You can visit anytime and hang your own decoration, including a message of appreciation, love and hope.

Here are some tips for your decorations to keep our local wildlife safe

made out of natural materials - i.e. wood, paper, twigs, twine, ribbon or cloth. If you use wire, please think safety.
lightweight enough to be suspended from a line
please consider size and make room for everyone on the tree

The Lamplighters will remove decorations that may be harmful and keep them safe in The Barn for you to collect before 1st January, after which they will be disposed of). There will be some examples on our Facebook Event page and Instagram.

Please remember when visiting the tree, to do so in your family bubbles and keep a safe distance from others. We look forward to seeing lots of amazing decorations and messages!
