CRCEF Stage 3 funding

There is an open application call to the Western research community for Stage 3 of the CRCEF program, due November 27, 2020. The purpose of Stage 3 funding is to reimburse the unanticipated costs associated with maintenance and ramp-up of research activities due to the pandemic. Only incurred costs that are exceptional and incremental to those already covered by existing sources of funds will be supported, at up to 75%.

if you have any questions, please email crcef_help@uwo.ca. Additionally, Noon-hour drop-in ZOOM meetings (Western ID required) are also being hosted by Western Research.

Tri-Agency supplement

This funding provides wage support for trainees and research personnel where wages were paid—and the research work was disrupted by COVID-19—between April 1 and June 30, 2020. The agencies contacted eligible grant recipients directly at the end of July with the offer of this supplement. Research Finance will roll out an internal attestation process which is necessary for the institution to comply with the Tri-Agency program guidelines. More information will be forthcoming in December to all PIs who accepted the supplement.
