Pastor's Corner

Isiah 51 reminds us that the King of kings is our Good Shepherd. He looks after us. He gathers us from the nations. He supplies all our needs. He provides rest for the weary, healing for the injured, and strength for the weak. With our Good Shepherd providing for our needs so generously, we humbly serve him.

Church Update

We've added 25 security cameras at the church and 15 at the school to help protect our properties. It is important that we stay vigilant as there have been recent break-ins at both the church and the school. We will be taking steps with the Trustees to make further improvements to our security, including lighting, tree trimming, and new fencing (at the school),

Keep an eye out if you go to bookstores or garage sales (not that there are many of those during covid) for our German bible. It was stolen during a recent break-in. We are hoping it might be found on the yard sale circuit.

School News

Plans are underway for a socially distanced and safe Christmas for Kids. We'll keep you posted as to details and the date!

The school passed an inspection from the Department of Public Health this week. We have a number of small tweaks to make to our covid protocols, but otherwise we did great! Thanks to Santi, Karl, and the staff for making this happen!

Thanksgiving Food Distribution

Our Thanksgiving Food Distribution is this weekend! Boxes will be prepared this evening (the 20th) in the gym and the distribution is tomorrow morning (the 21st) at 11 a.m. in front of the church. You can signup to assist here. Those assisting must wear masks and follow our covid protocols. Send questions to our CCC group at communityconnections@stpaulsfirst.org.

Elders!

Stayed tuned for a separate Elder's meeting before the December Council meeting. We've got lots to talk about and plan for. Mr. Coffee will find a date for this meeting after December 3rd when Pastor Clemons is back in town. Thanks!

Call Prayers

Keep praying for Pastor John Bortulin and Mr. Nate Reich as they continue to deliberate their calls to St. Paul's as Pastor and Principal, respectively.

Happy (Early) Thanksgiving!

Don't forget, our Thanksgiving Day service will be in the school yard at 9 a.m.

Please Be Patient!

You may be getting duplicate copies of this email. Please be patient as we work the kinks out of our email lists. If you like, catch Mr. Coffee after the service and let him know what your email address is, and he'll make sure it is only on one list going forward. You can also send an email to the church office requesting the same.
