Hello <<First Name>>,

Here is the monthly update on what I’m creating and exploring!

  • What’s new? 🌍

Earlier this month I co-hosted two wellbeing retreats in the South of Portugal, bringing together sixteen people from eleven different countries to meditate, dance, discuss, cook, work and overall connect with one another. In times like these it was a blessing to make it happen!

  • New content 🎬
I’m currently working on a new video on a question that has interested me for some time: Is our species directed towards transcending the biological body and interacting through fully digital versions of ourselves? Let’s see what comes out of it. 😄
  • New project 🏡
I am considering the idea of investing in a tiny house (like this one) both to live in and rent out. If you have knowledge to share around tiny houses or if you are interested in researching this project with me let me know!
  • Book notes 📚
I read two books this month. The first one is called Sexual intelligence by Marty Klein (notes) and it was quite impactful to my idea of what sex is, and how it should be approached. The main thing I’ve learned is that there is no right way to have sex. Sex is an open land to explore in order to discover parts of ourselves and find pleasure and connection. The second book is The state of affairs by Esther Perel (notes), which discusses why infidelity is so common and what couples can do to approach it better. One of the main takeaways for me was that we all have two opposite needs in relationships: security and exploration, familiarity and novelty, predictability and excitement, and both must be fulfilled in order to sustain thriving long-term relationships.

I’d love to make this newsletter an interactive exchange, so I invite you to reply with your own favourite recommendations! Please! :)

→ Undone on Prime is a unique and thought-provoking series that explores the relationship between memories, dreams and time. It’s also creatively stunning! (Thanks Vlad) 🌠

→ Did you know Jeff Bezos wants to build space colonies one day-trip away from Earth in order to save our planet? This presentation was fun and inspiring to watch. 👩‍🚀

→ I really enjoyed Tim Ferriss’s interview with Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia. It’s a long one, but a masterclass in entrepreneurship and storytelling. 🎤

→ My two favourite tracks this month: first of all the mind-bending Fantas by Italian composer Caterina Barbieri and second Adélia by the Galician artist Baiuca. (Thanks Sveta) 📻

Until next month,
Dario
