This online service of Prayer For The Nation comes from Durham Cathedral. The service, marking Christ The King, is led by the Bishop of Durham, with contributions from the Dean of Durham. Archbishops call for wave of prayer - 6pm daily
Please join together with churches and Christians across England, including the church here in the parish of Shalford & Peasmarsh, to pray daily together at 6pm through this month long lock-down. Light a candle at 6pm at home, and join in prayer for our nation (and all in our world). St Mary's bell will toll most evenings at 6pm.

Do you have a spare tree?
Artificial, real, created by you?

We'd love to include as many decorated trees, large or small, from local families and individuals, in St Mary's Christmas Tree festival - the more the better to brighten everybody's Christmas with lots of lovely trees, even if we can only see a few people at a time this year!  If you could create/decorate a small tree of any kind, please email parish office or complete form available in church/website to book in by 1st Dec if possible. Thanks so much. See poster below.

Dear friends,
Today we mark the final Sunday in the church's liturgical year with 'Christ the King'.  Also this lovely Collect for us to share for others in our prayers this week, on this 'stir-up Sunday'!

Stir up, O Lord,
the wills of your faithful people;
that they, plenteously bringing forth the fruit of good works,
may by you be plenteously rewarded through Jesus Christ our Lord
Amen
with love and prayers, Rev'd Sarah
