Dear Living Faith Uniting Church Family and Friends
"Is not my word like fire," declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?" Jeremiah 23:29
The Word of God is an all-consuming fire. What is the Word of God? It is Jesus. His words burn brightly over our lives, our church and the world. The Bible refers to the Holy Spirit as a fire and a mighty force that can infiltrate hearts of stone, and transform them into hearts that beat to God's rhythm. What does this mean for us? It means we can tap into a true life source that can heal, cleanse, change and bring about answers to prayer. This same sweeping and powerful fire, can also bring warm comfort and solace to the broken-hearted. Our God is the source and provider of our emotional and relational needs.
Why not imagine yourself nestling next to a fireplace, in the company of God's presence? Curl up with the Scriptures and lose yourself in its embers of truth. Then allow the flame of the Holy Spirit to crackle into the empty spaces of your heart. His light can illuminate any darkness.
Please be reminded that we are not meeting in person in our church building this Sunday 29 November - instead an online video service will be available through our website www.livingfaithuniting.com and by clicking on "Online Ministry". While you are at it, consider inviting others to listen in to the sermons by emailing out a sermon link or our website details to friends or family.
