Thank you, Musicians & Families! We have been able to enjoy 2 months of safe live rehearsals now thanks to your support of our pandemic protocols and hopefully we will be able to complete our term in the same format. I love making music with you.
Our Virtual Concert preparation is going very well and I hope to complete all recording for the term by Dec 5th so we can share final copies friends and family as a culmination of our fall term. (See below for more info.)
This upcoming Friday, Nov 27 at 12pm Bel Canto will be featured on the Hamilton Public Library's noon-hour concert series. It includes performance videos from Strings Fest, collab videos from the spring lockdown, as well as solo performances from private students earlier this fall. Click here to watch the show!

FAQ: Concert Recording Recording for our virtual concerts takes place in the studio, during regular rehearsal time. The sound is being recorded as a group performance. Musicians then have the chance to record an individual video in the side room, mask-free as they will be alone in the room, except for me, separated by a plexiglass panel and masked. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
Remote learners should contact Jennifer to arrange a date to visit the studio and record all their parts in one sitting. The space will be empty at this time, except for you & your family members. Available dates are Sat Nov 28, Sat Dec 5, from 9am-3pm. Seniors will need approx 30 mins to record all 6 Peter themes + Hallelujah. Wed Junior Class students will need approx 15 mins to record Salaam Shalom, Twinkle Little Star and the March of the Lion. Thurs Junior Class students will need approx 15 mins to record Peter's Theme, the Wolf Theme, Salaam Shalom and the March of the Lion.
FAQ: Remote Learning Options
In-Person Students are welcome to switch to synchronous remote learning at any time. Just contact me in advance to receive the Zoom URL and PDF copies of any new music for the week, and then join me online at your usual class time. Should Hamilton be asked to return to full lockdown in the coming weeks or in January, we will simply invite all students to join online via Zoom at their regular class times.
YouTube Practice Video Tutorials
Students should make use of these tutorials during home practice on a weekly basis. Musicians are encouraged to play along with the newest videos 2-3x each week, and to refer back to older videos when they are encountering a challenge with a particular song or passage of music. Are experiencing any signs of illness, including: fever, fatigue, dry cough, loss of appetite, loss of sense of smell or taste, body aches, shortness of breath, mucus or phlegm, small spots on hands or feet.
Have travelled outside the country in the past 14 days
Have been in close contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days
Have been in close contact in the last 14 days with someone with a person suffering from acute respiratory illness or the symptoms listed above.
