Supporting Our
Community Service Partners
The emphasis of our Community Service Team from its inception has been to invite us into roles of serving alongside the most vulnerable in our community. We have partnered with select community service organizations who provide such opportunities. In addition to this relational engagement, CST also presents us with ways to contribute through service projects. With this year’s coronavirus restrictions, our ability to serve in person has been curtailed. Nevertheless, we have made an impact through our giving and support of these community partners.
Redwood Gospel Mission’s Great Thanksgiving Banquet
We contributed gravy packets and pies in the amount of $2,098. Additional dollars donated for this project where added to RGM’s year-end gift (see below).
Angel Tree (Christmas gifts to students of Kid Street Learning Center).
In addition to the 85 students who will receive a wished-for gift item from our congregation, someone gave $5,000 toward this project. With this money each Kid Street family will receive a $50 Target gift card and teachers and staff a $50 Amazon gift card.
CST combined the unused 2020 budget with funds from a designated account to give year-end gifts totaling $17,300 to support the following community service partners:
Catholic Charities |
$2,000 |
Kid Street Learning Center & Charter School |
$2,000 |

Financial Report
Our giving for the fourth quarter has fallen short of expectations and added to our year-to-date deficit. In past years our December giving has overcome such deficits. We ask you to pray with us that we might meet this challenge.
