MS Society SA & NT and Multiple Solutions will be closed over the Christmas period from 1pm, Thursday 24 December and reopen on Monday 4 January.
If you have any issues or concerns with your MS during this period, please contact your GP or your closest hospital emergency department. In an emergency, call 000.

SA COVID-19 update: mandatory masks in healthcare settings
From 1 December 2020, in South Australia, it is mandatory to wear a mask in a health care setting including at your GP, hospital, and allied health services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and counselling. Visit SA Health for more info.
When you come to the MS Society SA & NT office you will be asked to wear a mask, sanitise your hands and check in via a QR code using your mobile phone. For more information, please contact MS Assist on 1800 812 311.

MS Society welcomes new CEO, Tim Ryan
We are excited to announce the appointment of Tim Ryan as our new CEO. Tim has more than 20 years’ experience across government, private and the not for profit sectors. Tim was, until accepting the position, CEO at The Adelaide Benevolent Society Inc, SA’s oldest charity which provides affordable housing to people in need across 260 homes around Adelaide.

Celebrate the people you love
Submit a story about your support network for World MS Day 2021. Next May, the MS International Federation (MSIF) will showcase the MS support networks that have created shared moments of connection and solidarity all over the world.
If you live with MS, MSIF wants to know who you are thankful for and why. This may include family, friends, healthcare professionals, MS researchers or pets. Submit your story by this Thursday 17 December.

Three new Australian studies have investigated how common additional medical conditions are in people with MS, and how they impact MS symptoms and overall quality of life. These studies highlight the importance of identifying additional medical conditions as early as possible with regular screenings and actively managing these conditions.

Researchers want to hear about your experiences of living with a long-term health condition and feeling socially connected. The study involves three interviews over a six month period about your experiences of health, social relationships and supports. MS staff visit Northern Territory
Join us over three days for expert advice on symptom management, NDIS, diet, fitness, stress management, fatigue management and sleep hygiene. Thanks to grants from the NT Department of Attorney General and Justice’s Community Benefit Fund.

Virtual MS Exercise Groups
When: Tuesdays and Fridays, 9:30am
Our MS physios are running 45 minute exercise classes. Classes are run using the online video conferencing platform, Zoom. Exercises can be done sitting or standing, and focus on mobility, strength and balance.

Virtual Yoga
When: Mondays 12:30pm, Wednesdays 6:30pm and Saturdays 9am
Join us for virtual yoga classes via Zoom. Learn yoga poses and breathing exercises from qualified yoga instructors. Chair options are provided.
