Dear Team,
We are closing in on the end of 2020 – a year that has brought many challenges. 2021, on the other hand, is starting to already look brighter. There is the hope of a COVID vaccine that will be over 94% effective and be widely available by the first half of the New Year. Congress is talking, again, about providing more financial support for individuals and businesses to help them get through the upcoming economic rough spots. And, at least for the time being, the hurricane season has faded.
Although good news is on the way, we must continue to remind ourselves that we are not out of the pandemic yet. The number of infected people and COVID deaths continue to rise. It remains as important as ever that you take care of yourself and your families over the next several weeks. The virus may have been around for months but that doesn’t mean that it is less deadly.
Remember the basics: wear your mask, wash your hands frequently, keep social distancing of at least six feet from others, and don’t touch your face. At work please be sure to do all of the basics and also clean and sanitize all high contact customer areas (such as the counter, food service area, and door handles) and work areas (computer keyboard, POS keyboard, and work tables) on a frequent basis.
We must stay vigilant until everyone has a vaccine and the virus is under control. You are incredibly important to us and we want you and your family to stay well. Please follow all of the rules and be sure to let your District Manager or Terresa Burdick know if your store is missing any PPE or cleaning equipment.
