Rehabilitation Research News: December 11, 2020

From the Director's Desk

Greetings! I have many acknowledgments to share this week, so please bear with me.

Thank you to everyone who attended the National Advisory Board for Medical Rehabilitation Research meeting on Monday, December 7. If you missed it, the recording is available on the NIH VideoCast website.

Thank you to all the speakers and organizers who contributed to the Office of Disease Prevention (ODP) Pathways to Prevention Workshop: Can Physical Activity Improve the Health of Wheelchair Users? held on December 1–3. I particularly want to acknowledge the work by NCMRR Program Officer Joe Bonner, who has led this project in collaboration with the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and ODP. The videocasts are available on the ODP website. We highly encourage people to read and comment on the draft systematic evidence review by January 8, 2021.

Finally, in honor of the 30th anniversary of NCMRR, NICHD has highlighted the Center both in Dr. Bianchi’s blog and with a Spotlight.
