helping to fill elected offices throughout the land.
This century, it is not so easy.
We have to do most of the work ourselves.
Which office would you like to run for in 2022?
It's not too early to get together and start thinking/working on it.
Therefore, I have started the Build Better Club.
If you want to follow the lead of the President-elect, Joe Biden, and the Vice-President-elect, KAMALA Harris,
who said "Build Back Better,"
come to the Build Better Club.
(I like emphasizing the first name of the first woman Vice-President-elect.)
The Build Better Club is NOT a Democratic Club. It is a Club for everyone, where we can heal and work together to solve the problems that we will face together.
Or, as Ben Franklin said, we will surely hang separately.
(If you are interested in running for office in 2022, do you think you can win in Lee County without votes from non-Democrats? Now is the time to let non-Dems get to know you.)

Thank you for our modifiable system of systems founded on the vision that we are all created equal. Each generation deserves our hearfelt "greatest generation" thanks for keeping democracy alive.
As Ben Franklin remarked at the conclusion of the Constitution Convention in Philadelphia, the Sun is still rising on the United States. We have a "republican" form of government (meaning a government without monarchy where the people who are eligible vote choose our leaders rather than the country being run by a few hereditary nobles). It is a system of government devised in 1787 which has been said to be flawed but better than any other system. And, it is ours - IF we can keep it, modify it to suit our times, and transition it to future generations..
I hope the rest of 2020 will be spent partying like it is 1960.
