To the BFGHS Members,

I would like to thank all the BFGHS members for your support over the past two years. It has been a great privilege and honor to serve as your President.

As I reflect on the challenges that the Covid-19 virus epidemic had on our society this past year, success would not have been possible without you, our members. Your willingness to meet the challenges head-on and make the necessary adjustments from our in-person to virtual online meetings was much appreciated.

To the Board/Committee Chairs and Committee Members, thank you for your willingness to serve. The skills, knowledge, and expertise you brought forth to each meeting, made a big difference in our success and made my job as President a lot easier.

Last, but certainly not least, appreciation, as well as applause to our Secretaries. Our Corresponding Secretary, Jeryse, who, as always, was very quick to respond to anything that is asked of her and she completed the task very professionally. It was not unusual for her to go above and beyond what was asked of her. I also have a special thank you to Khameelah and Paulette, for agreeing, when asked, to take on the role of Recording Secretary. Your professionalism and willingness to serve made my role much easier.

As my tenure ends, I am looking forward to concentrating on some of my backlogged genealogy projects and other passions.

Finally, as I turn over the reins to our President Elect, Marie Scott, there is no doubt in my mind that she and the BFGHS Board will do a superb job in continuing to move our society to new heights.
