Winter/Spring Classes are Here!


This season (Jan - April 2021), we are thrilled to offer 90+ visual arts and ceramic classes online and in-person for all ages.
 

Your Safety is Our Priority


Our comprehensive COVID-19 Safety Plan includes the use of two facilities, separate entrances for each classroom, daily health screenings for staff and students, mandatory mask use, and more. 
 

Focus on Connection


This season, we have a range of classes to encourage self-expression through art. From family classes for caregivers and children, to playing with ceramic 'identity objects,' we have classes for all ages to explore their creativity through art!

Childrens Classes

for ages 6-10


Kids Only Nights
Drop the kids off for a fun and creative art night with professional artist Kimberly Blackstock, while parents can enjoy a Friday night to themselves!

Pro-D Day Camps
Spend Pro-D Day at PoMoArts! Enjoy a day full of visual arts, ceramics, or crafting paper journals!

Play with Digital Space
Learn beginner coding skills and create your own game online, complete with characters, animations, and collaborative stories.

Youth Classes

for ages 11-17


Express Yourself Through Clay
Join our Ceramic Artist in Residence for a class to play with identity and self expression through sculpture!

Delve Into Drawing
Teens can explore their drawing skills in one of our many courses. From perspective or observational drawing to drawing intensives and design challenges, we have something for every skill level.

Adult Classes

for ages 16+


Explore Ceramics
Try a beginner friendly handbuilding or wheel throwing course, or get more explorative with ceramic identity objects, making a teapot, or trying out traditional Korean pottery techniques!

Expand Your Artistic Practice
Join teacher Christy Dunsmore for a 12-week online journey through the 1992 classic book The Artist's Way.

Begin Your Painting Journey
We have a range of beginner oil and acrylic classes to try your hand at this season. Start 2021 by learning a new skill!

Winter Treasures 

November 12 - December 22nd

A holiday shopping treat with COVID safety protocols in place. Winter Treasures artisan market is brimming with handcrafted gifts, art, décor, and fine craft items. Everything is created by BC artists, so there is always something new arriving. Tis’ the season to shop local, show loved ones you care, and support local artists!

Blackberry Christmas Market

November 12 - December 22nd

The annual Christmas Marketplace has become the signature event of the Blackberry Artist's Society.  This highly anticipated exhibition and sale attracts visitors from the Tri-Cities and beyond to shop from our artisan-decorated Christmas tree and find that special one-of-a-kind gift in our shop and expanded gallery space.

Meet our new Ceramic Studio Manager & Technician: Grace Han

Grace Han is a ceramic artist originally trained in Seoul, South Korea. She received her BFA from Dankook University where she specialized in traditional Korean Ceramic techniques and skills. She then worked for several years in one of the largest ceramic companies in Korea, building on her ceramics knowledge and experience outside of academia. She received her MFA from University of Manitoba in 2016.
