Dana Roberson, is executive producer of PBS NewsHour Weekend. She’s a multi-award winning veteran producer of national news and public affairs programming.
Prior to joining PBS NewsHour she produced at WNYC/New York Public Radio for the national daily news program The Takeaway. She has worked at CBS News on acclaimed programs such as CBS 60 Minutes, 60 Minutes II and CBS Sunday Morning. She also worked with legendary newsman Dan Rather both at CBS News and on his investigative team at AXS-TV. Her investigative reporting earned her a Peabody award for coverage of the Abu Ghraib prison scandal in Iraq. She has covered stories from 9/11 and the war in Afghanistan to the opioid crises and criminal justice reform.
She is a graduate of the University of Iowa and received her M.S. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She has also taught as an adjunct professor at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York
