Utah Headliners Presents:

Right Side of History Online Panel

How can a journalist remain objective while also being on the right side of history? Is it possible for a journalist who belongs to a minority group to report on that minority group while remaining objective? Can a Black journalist put up a "Black Lives Matter" sign in their lawn or a gay journalist put up a rainbow flag? Where does the ethical line lie when between being an objective journalist and supporting causes that are morally correct?

On Dec. 9 at noon, the Utah Headliners Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is hosting an online panel that will explore the ideas of objectivism and activism in the modern journalists' world.
