Miqra 2021 Info

Miqra 2021 will be online

Due to the increased cases of COVID-19 in Kansas, we do not feel it is safe for Miqra to meet in-person. When we met with the Youth Commission earlier this fall, they wanted us to replicate, as much as possible, our normal youth events in an online format, so that is what we are doing for Miqra. In order to make all this possible, we would love your help!

Tribe Leaders.

If you have been missing youth events this year, consider joining us online for Miqra. The youth will split into small groups three separate times, and we need at least two adult leaders for each small group. We'll provide instructions for each meeting time, you facilitate the conversation and make sure all the youth get to share if they want to.

*Typically we are able to allow adult volunteers to attend youth events for free. If you would like to receive the same Miqra stocking cap, sticker, and activity box that will be sent to all the youth, then we need you to pay the $20 fee. If you are okay not getting those items, then you may use code Adult1 to have the fee removed when you register.

Scripture Readers.

While we cannot have Miqra in-person this year, the reading will continue, online! All members of the diocese are invited to help with the reading, Friday, January 15, 10 am through Sunday, January 18, 10 am. Sign-up for a reading slot, log-on to Zoom at your time, find out from the previous reader where to begin, and read! You may recruit/invite others to read with you and split the time up however you wish. Just make sure someone replaces you before you leave. You do not need to be participating in Miqra in any other way to help with the reading.

All Ages, 11 am – noon, Worship with Spiritual Communion
