Update:  Call for Special Members’ Meeting

Date and Time:  Saturday December 27, 2020 10:00 am.

Apologies for the oversight, the date and time were omitted on the notice sent yesterday.

This will be an on-line meeting using the Go-To Meeting platform used for the 2020 AGM in September.

Reminder that the OAWA will convene a Special General Meeting on   to consider the following motion:

“to approve an exemption to the OAWA By-Laws for the 2021 OAWA AGM only, due to the pandemic, to allow clubs who were recognized for voting at the AGM for 2020 to maintain their status for 2021 regardless of if they do not meet program participation requirements in 2021.  Club that were not recognized in 2020 but meet the program participation requirements in 2021 will be upgraded to fully voting clubs for 2021.”

Rationale:  This meeting is necessary to prevent many clubs from losing their eligibility to vote at the AGM if there are few to no OAWA events in early 2021 before the 2021 AGM.  Recall that clubs must have participated in a number of OAWA Sanctioned events to qualify as a voting member, so this motion seeks to set this aside for 2021 to allow all clubs to vote who were eligible previously.
