City of Niagara Falls Recognizes Outstanding Contributions to the Community
NIAGARA FALLS, ON - One hundred local volunteers, charitable groups, and corporate sponsors will be officially recognized for their outstanding contributions to the community at the City of Niagara Falls’ 40th Annual Volunteer Recognition virtual event on Saturday, Dec 5 at 7 p.m.
The pre-taped awards ceremony will be available on the City’s website and Facebook page Saturday, December 5th at 7 p.m. along with the complete list of recipients and more information about each of the awards. To learn more and watch, visit niagarafalls.ca/volunteerawards.
Each year, the City invites nominations for seven special individual awards and asks local community organizations to nominate one individual volunteer and one corporate sponsor. This year, 23 individuals and 13 corporate sponsors have been recognized for their outstanding contributions. This year's theme is #BuildCommunityStrong.
The Mayor’s Office has also recognized contributions made by Niagara Falls residents, businesses and charitable groups during the Covid-19 pandemic and has issued more than 60 BeNF Awards this year.
