Wow! West Siders, plus Flint Hills Harmony, have already reached our goal of purchasing games for all 50 Meadows Holiday Boxes! Now we can add some extra cheer with puzzles, coloring books, and crayons. (Deadline to donate is Sunday, December 13.)
The Christian Ed room is beginning to look like a party! Keep those gifts coming! You may drop donations by the church December 7 or 8 during office hours (9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.), put small items in the church mail slot, or send checks marked "Meadows Holiday Boxes," and we will do the shopping!
Our Deep Condolences
Jett Meier -- Our hearts go out to Andy and Carolyn and the Meier family. Carolyn and Andy Anderson recently lost their grandson, Jett Meier, when he traveled home to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 21.
Jett was an extremely talented young man who easily made friends, and was loved by family and friends alike. He was the son of Andy and Carolyn's daughter, Becca, and her husband, Eric, and brother to Ellie. Jett's obituary may be viewedhere.
Margaret McCullum -- Margaret passed into the arms of our Lord on November 24 from complications related to COVID-19. She is survived by her brother Richard (Linda) McCullum and her sister Marie (Roy) Krehbiel. You can read Margaret's obituary here.
Margaret was actively involved at West Side Christian Church and made many friends here when she lived in Topeka. In 1987 she was ordained at West Side and served churches in Oklahoma, Illinois, and Kansas. In 2010 she moved to Kansas Christian Home to be closer to family.
Nearly 100 bidders logged on to bid on the 97 auction items and donate towards seven special projects in this year's online Gala Auction.
Our current fundraising total is around $7,000. We are hopeful this number will continue to rise as we process payments and donations. We thank you for your support!
