An Alpha Scholarship Carol

Whoa be unto you of the Alpha Nu Omega Alumni. I am your Alpha Conscience that used to share your supportive ideals gone these many years. 

I am not a figment or your imagination and not an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, or a fragment of underdone potato.  You may have been too busy or forgotten your commitment to uphold the Alpha ideals you agreed to so many years ago.  You forget or gloss over the conflicts young Alphas face when trying to meet their education goals—especially those who keep our organization going. When asked to donate to the Alpha Scholarship Program you said "Humbug, quit picking a man’s pocket."  You said that young Alphas need no commendation.  If they can’t support themselves or burden themselves down with loans, they should quit and decrease the college population.  And just what can you, as one person, do to make a difference?
 
Alas, your mortal soul still has a chance to live up to the Alpha Alumni Association’s core purpose—providing scholarships to its present and future members in the spirit of Brotherhood. 
 
Beware! You will soon be visited by three spirits of the Alpha Scholarship Program—Past, Present and Scholarship Yet to Come.  They will take you through journeys that will ignite your memory, enlighten you and perhaps spur your heart to action. They will come to you via separate email postings at the stroke of midnight in the next three days. 
 
As your Alpha Conscience, I hope you heed their messages and warnings, and receive them in the “spirit” intended.
