I've got one hell of a dilemma. As you know, I'm organizing a Kickstarter within 30 days from now for my first picture book, Hilda & Richie. Maybe you think I'm feeling very confident because I know what I'm doing. I got past Kickstarters funded; after all, you did help bring Dominic & Claire to life.
Actually, I'm facing a major challenge. The goal for this Kickstarter is higher at US$3,000 but I'm struggling right now. I am fighting to figure out the proper rewards, especially with this higher goal. For more than two weeks, my mind has been a jumble of ideas, good, bad and outright terrible on what to offer in addition to the Hilda & Richie picture book.
Just because you've done something before doesn't mean you can do it again. Anytime you face a new challenge, you face new problems.
It's been recommended that besides HIlda & Richie, I offer comics as a reward from my back catalog such as Dominic & Claire plus Sunnyville Stories. That just might be an option. As I've said time and time again, Hilda & Richie EXIST in the same universe as the Sunnyville gang.
Nonetheless, the clock is ticking and I have a big challenge. It is imperative the budget be finalized, the rewards decided on and the Kickstarter submitted for approval by the evening of Monday December 15. Due to the holidays, the hours of the Kickstarter staff is not certain so I have to get everything approved before holiday breaks cause delays.
I'll keep you posted now through January on the Hilda & Richie picture book Kickstarter. So watch for more news and get ready for my debut picture book on January 6, 2021!
