Nautilus Project The year 6 children were treated to a fabulous morning at little Bay with Lewis Stagnetto of The Nautilus Project this week. Lewis and his team had an early start in the sea collecting invertebrates for our pupils to observe and handle, from a large male octopus, an adolescent triton snail, a brittle star, spiny sea urchins, starfish, carnivorous and herbivore sea snails...all animals observed brought our science lessons to life. The expressions of wonder, joy and excitement on our pupils' faces are evident in some of our photos. At the end of our time, we watched Lewis return all the invertebrates to their natural habitat and gave him a well-deserved round of applause for providing us with such an amazing morning!
Year 4 I wonder what the Year 4 teachers are up to?
Faith Diary Advent is a journey the church embarks on at this time of year, as we travel together towards the single most important event in the History of the world – the Birth of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This week we celebrate the Immaculate Conception of his Blessed Mother Mary, born without stain of original sin in order to be a pure tabernacle for the Son of God to dwell in until His birth into the world. Let us ask Our Lady to accompany us and help us on our Advent journey towards a deeper love of her divine son.
Advent Pupils in Year 6 tell the story and meaning of the Advent Wreath, this year they recorded narrative to play for the rest of the school.
