Happy Friday, Everyone:

  • After being on injured reserve for three weeks, I am looking forward to seeing you again this Sunday either in person or online. We will begin a Christmas series called “A Weary World Rejoices” and the text for this week is Matthew 11:20-30.

  • As believers, we always have reasons to rejoice as we tap into the truths we believe. We live by the promises of God and we stand upon His promises. We are not of those who shrink back, but we stand upon the shoulders of those who before us walk by faith.

  • As you monitor your financial stewardship at the end of this year, I ask you to be faithful and generous to your local church. No one can out-local your local church. It is your local church that supports you, your family, your friends, your missionaries, and your hands-on work in the six-fold ways of holistic ministry, many of which get overlooked until they are absent. Healthy churches that thrive over the long haul don’t just grow on trees, and they don’t happen through someone else. I am asking you to think local and generous at the end of this year. Will you make a special year-end gift to our church this year? It's easy to give online, just click here to get started. You have no idea how encouraging it will be to all of us. Thank you.

  • Here’s a note from Missy Egdmon regarding tonight’s Virtual Ladies’ Night: Tonight is Virtual Ladies' Night Out, and it's not too late to register! Join us on ZOOM, tonight December 4 (7:30-9:00pm), and dress festive (at least on top - because no-one's going to see if you stay in your pajama pants).  We will have worship, fun games, a devotional time, and breakout groups.”

  • Our annual Care and Share Toy and Food Drive Drive is next week, December 13, and here is the specific info from Grant Wright regarding this opportunity: “You can help by donating suggested items by Sunday, December 13, or sign up to volunteer. To donate items you can shop from our Amazon wish list and have it automatically shipped to the church or you can drop off listed items at the church on Dec 13 between 8:00am-1:00pm. There will be large labeled boxes on the front porch main entrance of our building. Simply place your items in the right box and you are done. Thank you all for making a difference at this important time of the year!

  • Although we do not have 9:45am programming for the next few weeks, children’s programming will be available during our 8:30am & 11:00am services for ages birth to kindergarten.

  • Kyle Strickland leads an excellent online class called Online Conversations at 10:00am on Sundays. You can join anytime here.

  • If you would like a pretty good Advent daily guide, here’s a good one from Lee Strobel.

    Blessings,
    Ronnie
