Dear Catholic School Families, Alumni, and Supporters,

I am writing to encourage you to support our school employees in a special way this Advent season. The Archdiocese of Chicago has established a fund to provide a financial gift to all school employees. We hope to raise enough to provide meaningful recognition to each employee for their outstanding service this year.

We have experienced the profound impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic throughout the Archdiocese. Our Catholic schools, teachers, leaders and staff members have worked tirelessly to continue serving our students through in-person and virtual learning. Despite the complexities presented by the pandemic, they have continuously demonstrated excellence, resilience and hope. They are true heroes and worthy of our gratitude and admiration.

Such service has not been easy. Our employees have taken on numerous extra responsibilities and have worked longer hours to continue providing high quality instruction amid the pandemic. Many employees feel stressed and exhausted, yet they continue to serve because they love our students and believe in our mission.

Please read through the
attached information to learn more and visit www.archchicago.org/teacherfund to donate directly.

In addition to supporting this effort yourself, I hope you will encourage others within your school and your network of family and friends to join you. It is vital that we show our support for our school heroes! Our school children are admirably well served by our teachers, leaders and staff members. Thank you for your generosity and support for this important effort.

Yours in Christ,

Jim Rigg, Ph.D.
