Join us for Sunday School!

We have begun an adult Sunday School discussion group via email.

Each week, there will be a video lesson to watch along with discussion questions sent out to everyone on an email distribution list.  Simply watch the videos and then email your responses to sundayschool@wexfordcpc.org, which will send the responses out to everyone in the group to discuss throughout the week.

- Black Lives Matter, De-Funding the Police, and all THE things

There's still time to catch up on the discussion!
You can jump in at any point, though it's helpful to see them all as the conversation in the videos builds each week.

If you'd like to be part of the Sunday School discussion group it's not too late to sign up,
simply click here to email Tyler at tyler@wexfordcpc.org
and you will be added to the email distribution list.

Angel Tree 2020

Since 1992, an Angel Tree has been a part of the WCPC Christmas season.  Each year, the WCPC congregation has generously provided gifts to hundreds of children at the Manchester Youth Development Center and the Mars Home for Youth.   Through the Angel Tree we will be providing gifts and Christmas cheer for many less fortunate families and children this holiday season, but with a COVID twist. With the ongoing pandemic, the entire Angel Tree this year will be virtual/contactless.

If interested in selecting an Angel to sponsor a child, please follow the link here to the Virtual Angel Tree: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D45AFAB2EA5F9C61-manchester

You’ll see that all gifts this year are for children at the Manchester Youth Development Center, which was founded in 1968 to nurture the development of children by meeting their academic, social, and emotional needs in a safe, constructive and wholesome learning environment.  For many children, the MYDC has provided safe haven from the streets and given encouragement to make positive life choices.

Follow the link for instructions on how to select a child and get your gifts to us so that all gifts can be delivered to MYDC for distribution to the children after December 18

Thank you, and if you have any question, please call Laura or Alyssa Clark, 935-8695.

May the Christmas spirit be shining within you and let us all remember the Reason for the Season!

Virtual Christas Pageant

We are excited to be putting together a virtual Christmas Pageant for this year, and we need YOUR help!  The Pageant will be for all ages, representing the whole church.

The process should be fairly simple.  We have a script that we'll send out, each person will record a video of their scene and send it back to Tyler, and then we'll put it all together into one video.
Think of it as each of us designing a puzzle piece that then will be assembled into a giant picture!

We need at least 18 people to help us out!  The goal is to have the pageant ready for Christmas eve, but the sooner we get started the better!

If you are willing to help out with the pageant (again, this is for ALL ages)
please click here to let Tyler know.

Once we have enough volunteers, we'll start sending out instructions on how to film your videos.

Advent Devotionals

Advent begins today.  It is a season that marks four weeks leading up to Christmas day (and the 12 day season of Christmas, which lasts from December 25th to January 6th).

We are happy to be able to provide two devotional opportunities for you this Advent season!  The first is a weekly devotional for all ages, and the second is specifically tailored for families to do together (with opportunities for creative crafts).

Click here to download the All Ages Weekly Advent Devotional.

In addition, if you are looking for a daily option, Tyler recommends the book
Honest Advent: Awakening to the Wonder of God-with-Us Then, Here, and Now
by Scott Ericson

The book gives you 25 reflections that ask us to reflect on the notion that the Christmas story is not just something that happened a long time ago . . . but a story that is still happening today.
You can purchase a copy of this book here.
Tyler will be reading through this book through the season, too!
