As virtual orienteering, POCs, online competitions, and socially distanced local events become the new normal during these interesting times, we have plenty to report from the last few months. New trustee - Georgia Jones
We are very pleased to welcome Georgia Jones as a new trustee on our board. Georgia was a successful junior orienteer growing up in Australia, before moving back to the UK where she was the founding president of the Exeter University Orienteering Club (OROX), and helped setting up a universities training camp. New ambassadors - Wilbert Hollinger and Lyn West
We are delighted to welcome Lyn West (SOS - East Anglia) and Wilbert Hollinger (LVO - Northern Ireland) as Ambassadors for the Orienteering Foundation. Ambassadors, alongside our Trustees and Chair, provide a vital role in keeping in touch with clubs and individuals in their respective regions. CLOK club development officer project
 Back in August we announced we were keen to assist clubs with their development and were seeking to work in partnerships on a series of projects (see that announcement here). We since received several applications, and have decided to move forward on a Club Development Officer project with Cleveland Orienteering Klub (CLOK). See full details here.

Grants awarded
We have made three grants since the last newsletter:
- To Lakeland Orienteering Club (LOC) to assist with club coach education and training - see details here.
- To help with orienteering developing in the Lochaber area in advance of the Scottish 6 days next year - see details here.
- To the Event-O app developers to cover app store hosting costs - see details here.

Wye Valley donation
Wye Valley Orienteers recently decided to suspend activities, and are donating their outstanding balance to the Orienteering Foundation. We are enormously grateful for their generosity. More details here.

JROS calendar
Recent years have always seen a Junior Regional Orienteering Squads (JROS) calendar, with support from CompassSport magazine, and this year is no exception. Here at the Orienteering Foundation we are proud to be sponsoring two months in the calendar, with donations from ourselves and other sponsors directly going towards JROS activities. You can still get hold of your calendar - in time for 2021 - via the CompassSport website here.

Give as you Shop
Don't forget that there are many schemes by which you can support charities like the Orienteering Foundation, while you shop at your favourite retailers. These schemes are typically at no cost to yourself, they are covered by donations direct from the retailer in question. Examples include amazon, and many other online and in-store retailers.
