DETERMINATION & PERSISTENCE
Since March our animal assisted activity programs which serve groups of seniors, veterans and students with disabilities have been paused. However, our animal assisted therapy programs have continued to serve children with Autism and child crime victims. Canine advocates, like Trigger have been busy even though county courts continue to be closed to the public and some court hearing are done via Zoom. Just last month as COVID-19 cases are rising, Trigger was able to help 17 children tell their story about the crime they have experienced. Because of these brave victims who were interviewed by authorities, the abusers were arrested. It takes one small step by many people to make a huge difference in the world we live in.
