Happy Holidays from Your Chamber

This year, we are entering a Holiday Season like no other that's gone before. Two of our events for December are cancelled -- Business Over Breakfast and Happy Hour Social.

Even though we are unable to gather this month, we want to encourage you to be active in our community through the following ways:

1. Shop local first
2. Make a year-end donation to your favorite community causes
3. Check in on neighbors, friends and family
4. Support our eating establishments through take-out
5. Drive around and enjoy the holiday lights and displays at businesses and in our neighborhoods
6. Spread cheer and good health and by doing your part to help contain coronavirus

We want to thank you for your perseverance and patience this year. The Chamber Board is establishing working committees whose aim is to plan 2021 events and ways to serve you, our members, and our community in the New Year.

The winners will be announced December 23 and will receive the Chamber's Traveling Trophies -- one for Prentice Street Plus and one for US-212.

Mid-Winter Festival - An Evening of Fun!
Saturday, January 30, 2021
We are hosting a Dinner Theater where you, our guests, get to participate in the comedy to figure out “Who Dun It!" Featuring Jest Murder Mystery, a silent auction and multi-course meal. It will be held at Chamber Member The Rock Dining & Events from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Information on sponsorships, silent auction donations and tickets will be available soon. November Lunch & Learn: Held at Chamber Member Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home, this session focused on Cybersecurity and ways to protect your data. One interesting fact is that smart home devices, such as refrigerators and routers are easy targets to hackers and threats to your personal home networks. Having strong passwords on these devices is very important. Thank you to Chamber Member Pam Rosenau and MVTV Wireless for presenting and providing this seminar free of charge to members.

November Business Over Breakfast: We had breakfast and a tour courtesy of Chamber Member Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home. It was a lively and engaging discussion about pre-planning your funeral. A guest shared her father said pre-planning was the best gift she could give to her family. We also learned of a great product, a Travel Assurance Plan. A one-time ($495) fee ensures your arrival back home to the funeral home of your choice when you travel abroad, vacation, and snowbird.
