Thank you for all your prayers for us! We're so thankful God has gifted us with such wonderful, loving ministry partners. Your faithful support through prayers and giving has upheld us during these dark times. May God bless you richly for your kindness to us.
私たちのために祈って下さりありがとうございます！神様が私たちに、素晴らしく、愛に満ちたミニストリーパートナーを与えてくださったことを感謝しています。祈りと献金による忠実なサポートは、このような患難な時をも私たちを支えてくれました。私たちへの優しさに神様の祝福がありますように。

Although we are living in strange times, we have the assurance of a glorious future through Christ. God kept his age-old promise and, in his perfect timing, sent his Son to live, to die, and to rise again, restoring our broken relationship with him. If he was willing to give his only Son, keeping his promise of restoration, how much more will he keep his promise of a glorious future with him through Christ! This is what our family will be celebrating this Christmas.
私たちは難しい時代に生きていますが、キリストによって栄光の未来が保証されています。神様は昔からの約束を守り、その完璧なタイミングで御子を遣わしてくださいましたーその御子とは、この地上に生き、死なれ、よみがえられ、そして私たちと神様との壊れた関係を修復してくださった方です。もし神様が回復の約束を守って御自分の唯一の御子を喜んでお与えになったならば、キリストを通して御自分との輝かしい未来の約束を守ってくださることは、なおさらのことではないでしょうか。これこそが、私たち家族がこのクリスマスに祝うことなのです。

I want to take an entire email update to share our vision and plan for a church plant here in Japan. I am planning to do so next month. We ask that you pray for us as we prepare to begin church-planting efforts after the New Year holiday. We need wisdom in so many different areas. God needs to do so many miracles for this church-plant to happen. That is why we plead for your prayers.
来月のメールの更新で、日本での教会開拓のビジョンと計画を説明したいと思っています。年末年始の休暇明けに教会開拓活動を始める準備をしていますので、どうかお祈りください。私たちは様々な分野で知恵を必要としています。この教会開拓’が実現するためには、神様が多くの奇跡を起こしてくださる必要があります。だからこそ、皆さんのお祈りをお願いします。

Please continue to pray that God provides some "core members" for our church plant here as well as church planting partners. We hope to find like-minded partners to plant a church with a plurality of leaders from the beginning.
教会開拓のために何人かのパートナーだけでなく、「核となるメンバー」が与えられるように、これからも祈り続けてください。私たちは、同じ志を持ったパートナーを見つけて、最初から複数のリーダーがいる教会を始めたいと願っています。

After Emi's Karate test, she found this Japanese side dish at the store. It's candied locusts. You can probably tell by her eyes whether she bought it or not.

恵実の空手の審査が終わった後にお店で見つけた食べ物ーイナゴの甘露煮です。買ったかどうかは彼女の目を見れば分かるでしょう。

Taishi and Emi had their elementary school field day the other day. Of course, there were COVID regulations. The grades competed in shifts and only two different events per class. One of the events was a traditional dance that the children had memorized. Taishi's dance was about a fisherman.

先日、大志と恵実の小学校の運動会がありました。もちろんCOVID予防対策がありました。学年ごとに交代で競技を行い、１クラス２種目のみでした。そのうちの一つは、子どもたちが暗記していた伝統舞踊でした。大志の踊りは、漁師さんを題材にしたものでした。
