1. The virus and our Summer Season – ensure protocols are in place and communicated
As per media communications, we are all aware of the increasing number of virus cases within the Garden Route. We know that we have sufficient wide, open spaces to welcome and accommodate our visitors. We thus encourage and request everyone to please communicate in advance with your guests, family and friends, updating them on what protocols you have put in place and what your expectations are from and by them: this way we can all play our part in ensuring a safe season. Today the Knysna Municipality released two media statements:
1. To the residents, encouraging us to ensure we follow safe protocols.

2. An update of their operations over the season, including, “where appropriate, the closure of certain public facilities, ie community halls, parks, libraries, sport and recreation facilities, etc with the exception of those related to tourism”.

3. Summer calendar
Per previous communications, the closing date for submission to the print edition of the Summer Calendar was 30 November. We have sent the calendar to print and it will, besides a flyer version, be printed and distributed in the local Action Ads on Thursday, 10 December. Please be sure to collect your copy of the publication. All additional events that we are made aware of (Info@VisitKnysna.co.za) will be incorporated into the electronic updates which can be found on our website www.visitknysna.co.za and, if shared to our Facebook page, will be promoted there too.
