Weekly News
Dear friends,
This Sunday is the 3rd in Advent. It is also known as Gaudete Sunday. Gaudete is the Latin word for Rejoice and so halfway through this sombre season of reflection and preparation we pause to look forward with joy to the coming of Christ. This Sunday's change of tone is reflected in the liturgical colour as the deep violet vestments of the priests are exchanged for rose pink.
