Merry Christmas!

2020 has been incredibly difficult for so many - both personally and in business - but with the prospect of a family-focused Christmas and 2021 looking more positive, we hope you will all be able to enjoy the festive cheer!

Christmas office hours

Our offices will close at 1pm on Christmas Eve. Our Skipton office will reopen at 8.30am on Monday 4th and Settle at 9.30am on Tuesday 5th January 2021.

Please could you get in touch with us as soon as possible about anything which needs addressing before the Christmas period so our team can help you before they take a break to enjoy the festivities.

Brexit

The UK formally left the EU on 31st January 2020 but since that date, we have been in a transition period - which is coming to an end on 31st December 2020. In effect, this has meant that – although Brexit has happened – we have not noticed or felt the effects yet.

At the time of writing, no deal has been made for a Trade Agreement between the UK and EU. This may change before the end of December, however, regardless of a deal or no deal scenario, the end of the transition period will mean changes for businesses.

To assist with preparations, the government have created a transition tool to see how your business, (as well as family, and personal circumstances) will be affected.

We recommend that you go through the questions and consider the effect on your specific circumstances. And, as ever, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries or concerns you may have.
